Self-consistent Maxwell-Pauli theory

Abstract

We show that quantum mechanics can be constructed as a classical field theory that correctly describes all basic quantum effects. We construct the self-consistent Maxwell-Pauli theory, from which the correct spontaneous emission spectrum of the hydrogen atom follows. It is shown that many parameters, such as the spin and intrinsic magnetic moment of the electron, which are considered purely quantum properties of the electron and do not have a classical explanation, have a simple and clear physical meaning in the framework of the classical self-consistent Maxwell-Pauli theory.
