Self-Supporting Wormholes in Four Dimensions with Scalar Field

Abstract

In this paper, we investigated the space-time obtained by quotients of the AdS4 space-time. Further quotient with specific Z2 is considered. Taking up to the first-order perturbation in metric, we estimated the backreaction of the matter field on space-time geometry. We can calculate the stress-energy tensor's expected value by pulling it back onto the covering space. The average null energy becomes negative when the suitable boundary condition is chosen, resulting in a traversable wormhole.
