A Tensor-Cube Version of the Saxl Conjecture
Abstract
Let n be a positive integer, and let n = (n, n-1, n-2, …, 1) be the ``staircase'' partition of size N = n+1 2. The Saxl conjecture asserts that every irreducible representation Sλ of the symmetric group SN appears as a subrepresentation of the tensor square Sn Sn. In this short note we show that every irreducible representation of SN appears in the tensor cube Sn Sn Sn.
