Cofiniteness of generalized local cohomology modules for ideals of small dimension
Abstract
Let a be an ideal of a commutative noetherian ring R and M, N two finitely generated R-modules. By using a spectral sequence argument, it is shown that if either dimRM≤2 and Hia(N) are a-cofinite for all i≥0, or Hia(N) is an a-cofinite module of dimension ≤1 for each i≥1, or q(a,R)≤1, then the R-modules Hta(M,N) are a-cofinite for all t≥0.
