Cluster structures of the 0+ states of 13 C with the 3α+ four-body orthogonality condition model

Abstract

We study structures of the 0+ states of 13 within the framework of α+α+α+ four-body orthogonality condition model with the Gaussian expansion method. We obtain five 0+ states of 13 and compare them with the low-lying four 0+ states of 12C. We find that the 01+, 02+ and 04+ states correspond to the 01+, 02+ and 04+ states of 12C, respectively. We also find that both the 03+ and 05+ states have analogous nature to the 03+ state of 12C, where the additional particle couples with 8Be cluster and one α cluster, in the 03+ state of 12C, respectively. The former is then shown to have an elongated 9(01+) + α cluster structure with a higher nodal behaviour for their relative wave function, and the latter have a dilute three-body gas consisting of 2α+5 clusters.
