Bubble Growth Rate in Superheated Droplets
Abstract
Calculations are presented to describe the dynamic of a growing bubble in a single and simple formulation for R(t). The calculations show clearly that the behavior of the growing bubble is exponentially increasing with the time constant τ showing a universal behavior as a function of the reduced superheat. Experimental data from other researchers are used to verify the description and are in good agreement with the results. The main motivation for this study was to find R(t)that is accurate and at the same time uncomplicated enough in solving the dynamic of the bubble growth to calculate the far-field pressure for superheated liquids.
