A different approach to teaching geometry in Italian secondary schools
Abstract
Inspired by a didactic experience in an academic environment, and following the idea given by M. Villa in Villa, we illustrate two different proofs of an important result in Euclidean geometry studied in the first two years of Italian secondary schools. Specifically, we propose the proof of Varignon's Theorem from both the classical synthetic and the analytical points of view.
