Signatures of the isobar in spin observables of 3He electrodisintegration
Abstract
The electrodisintegration of 3He is considered focusing on the effects of the isobar excitation which is treated dynamically on the same footing as nucleons. In the region beyond the quasi-elastic peak the predicted transverse response functions RT and RT' are visibly affected. This leads to sizable isobar effects for inclusive and exclusive electron polarization asymmetries in particular kinematic regions. A measurement performed in the proposed regime could provide judgment for models of nuclear forces and currents.
