μ-Clubs OF P (λ) : Paradise on earth

Abstract

If V = L, and μ, and λ are three infinite cardinals with μ = cf (μ) < = cf() ≤ λ, then, as shown in Heaven, the μ-club filters on P (λ) and P (λ< ) are isomorphic if and only if cf (λ) = μ. Now in L, λ< equals u (, λ) (the least size of a cofinal subset in (P (λ), ⊂eq)) equals λ if cf (λ) ≥ , and λ+ otherwise. We show that, in ZFC, there are many triples (μ, , λ) for which (u (, λ) > λ and) the μ-club filters on P (λ) and P (u (, λ)) are isomorphic.
