Resonant high-order harmonic generation by indium ions
Abstract
High-order harmonic generation in multiphoton ionization regime is studied theoretically to examine the resonant effects of the generating particle. We solve the time-dependent Schr\"odinger equation for In+ in the laser field by expanding the solution in terms of unperturbed eigenstates obtained in the Hartree-Fock approximation. The intensity enhancement of the high harmonic is demonstrated under 7-photon resonance with the energy of the transition from the ground state to the 4d9 5p 1P1 autoionizing state. Attosecond pulse generation using harmonics of the fifth and higher orders is studied. We find a train of almost spectral limited pulses with duration of 190 as.
