The Rigid Pham-Brieskorn Threefolds

Abstract

We show that a 3-dimensional Pham-Brieskorn hypersurface \ X0a0 + X1a1 + X2a2 + X3a3=0\ in A4 such that \a0, a1, a2, a3 \ ≥ 2 and at most one element i of \0,1,2,3\ satisfies ai = 2 does not admit a non-trivial action of the additive group Ga.
