Exercises with solutions are presented which should allow advanced undergraduate students to understand properties of a flat, uniformly expanding space. No knowledge of general or special relativity is needed besides that the speed of light c is a constant. The material could be used stand alone or would fit well at the end of a treatment of special relativity,
