Revisiting Yano and Zygmund extrapolation theory

Abstract

We prove a pointwise estimate for the decreasing rearrangement of Tf, where T is any sublinear operator satisfying the weak-type boundedness T:Lp,1(μ) Lp,∞(), ∀ p: 1<p0 < p≤ p1<∞, with norm controlled by C([p0-1 - p-1]-1) and satisfies some admissibility conditions. The pointwise estimate is: equation* split (Tf)*(t) & 1p0 - 1( 1t 1p0∫0t (1 - rt)f*μ(r)drr1 - 1p0 + 1t 1p1∫t∞ f*μ(r)drr1 - 1p1). split equation* In particular, this estimate allows to obtain extensions of Yano and Zygmund extrapolation results.
