Weakly closed semigroups generated by operator-valued functions

Abstract

The function P(T)=Σi=0∞ ci Ti is admissible if ci≥ 0, Σi=0∞ ci≤ 1. For any given set of admissible functions P1,…, Pk there is a unitary operator T of dynamic origin such that the weak closure of its powers is a semigroup generated by the operators 0, T, P1(T),…, Pk(T), T, P1(T ),…, Pk(T).
