Four fault-free Bn-2's in Bn under the random node fault model

Abstract

Let n≥ 4. Each Bn-2 in Bn has one of the forms a1a2Xn-2, a1Xn-2a2 and Xn-2a1a2. Let 1-p be the fault probiability of each node in the n-dimensional bubble-sort network Bn under the random node fault model. In this paper, we determine the probability that there are four distinct fault-free Bn-2's in Bn by considering all possible combinatorial cases of the four fault-free Bn-2's.
