Generalized Andr\'asfai--Erdos--S\'os theorems for odd cycles
Abstract
In this note, we establish Andr\'asfai--Erdos--S\'os-type stability theorems for two generalized Tur\'an problems involving odd cycles, both of which are extensions of the Erdos Pentagon Problem. Our results strengthen previous results by Lidick\'y--Murphy~LM21 and Beke--Janzer~BJ24, while also simplifying parts of their proofs.
