Testing the molecular nature of the (2012) with the (3770) K and (3770) K *(1530) ( K π ) reactions

Abstract

We report on the reactions (3770) + K and (3770) + K*(1530)~(*(1530) π ), and calculate the mass distributions d dMinv(K) and d dMinv(K*), respectively. We obtain clear peaks corresponding to the (2012). From the decay of (3770) + K*, we also get a second, broader, peak around 2035\, MeV, which comes from the (2012) decay to K*. This second peak is closely tied to the molecular picture of the (2012) with the K*(1530) and η components. Its observation would provide a boost to the molecular picture of the (2012).
