Pairing in fission: Mean-field and collective inertias study

Abstract

Pairing plays a crucial role in the microscopic description of nuclear fission. Microscopic methods provide access to three quantities related to pairing, namely, the pairing gap (), the particle number fluctuations ( N2 ), and the quenching factor (QF). The aim of this work is to analyse the impact of each of these quantities on the static description of the fission process.
