Decays τ f0(π,K) τ and τ 3 π τ accounting for the contribution of f0(500)

Abstract

In the U(3) × U(3) quark NJL model, τ lepton decays with the production of scalar mesons f0(π,K]) and neutrinos are studied, where f0=f0(500), f0(980). It is shown that these decays mainly occur via contact channels and channels with axial-vector mesons a1, K1(1270) and K1(1400). All mesons are considered as quark-antiquark states in this case. The obtained results can be considered as predictions for future experiments. The obtained estimates for the branching fractions of the τ π-2π0 τ decay taking into account the contributions of the π and f0(500)π states are in satisfactory agreement with experimental data.
