Net-Baryon Number Probability Distribution As an Indicator of Phase Transition
Abstract
The net-baryon number probability distribution and the related pressure and density are studied in the Cluster Expansion Model (CEM) and the obtained results are extrapolated to the domain of low temperatures. It is found that the rate of decrease of the net-baryon number probability mass function diminishes with the temperature and, in the extensions of the CEM, falls to the level consistent with the phase transition at large baryon chemical potentials.
