Binary systems as gravitational wave detectors
Abstract
``Adding colour'' to the gravitational-wave sky by probing unexplored frequency bands has the potential to unveil new and unexpected phenomena in the Universe. In these proceedings, we summarise current efforts to probe gravitational waves with μHz frequencies through their resonant impact on binary systems. We also discuss how these binaries can explore uncharted regions of parameter space in the hunt for dark matter.
