Hidden-Heavy Pentaquarks and Where to Find Them
Abstract
We provide a simple explanation for the observed hidden-charm pentaquarks as bound states in Born-Oppenheimer potentials. We identify Pcc(4312)+, Pcc(4440)+, and Pcc(4457)+ as heavy-quark spin states in a quartet of c c pentaquarks with JP quantum numbers 12-, 32-, and 52-. The quantum numbers of Pcc(4457)+ differ from most previous predictions. We also predict a fourth cc pentaquark with quantum numbers 32- near the cD threshold. We identify Pccs(4338)0 and Pccs(4459)0 as heavy-quark spin states in a triplet of c cs pentaquarks with quantum numbers 12- and either 12- or 32-. We also predict a third ccs pentaquark with quantum numbers either 32- or 12- near the cD threshold. We explain why the observed hidden-charm pentaquarks have narrow widths.
