On the effect of ultraviolet irradiation of alanine, glycine and tryptophan crystals on raman spectra of these materials

Abstract

The effect of ultraviolet radiation (275 nm) on the Raman spectra of amino acid microcrystals: alanine, glycine, tryptophan was studied. The position of some lines in the spectra after irradiation has slightly shifted towards high energies. The main effect: observation of changes in the relative intensities of the components of the Raman spectra after irradiation of microcrystals. It has been suggested that this change is due to the reorientation of some molecules under the influence of radiation
