Study of the cJ→η decays
Abstract
Using a data sample of (2.7120.014)×109 (3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we investigate the decays cJ → η for J=0,~1,~2 via the radiative transition (3686) → γ cJ. The decays c0,2→η are observed for the first time, with statistical significances of 6.7\,σ and 6.4\,σ, respectively. Evidence for the decay c1→η is found with a statistical significance of 3.3\,σ. The corresponding branching fractions are measured to be B(c0→η)=(7.561.420.90)×10-5, B(c1→η)=(1.540.510.16)×10-5, and B(c2→η)=(3.030.610.29)×10-5, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. No significant excited baryon states or near-threshold enhancements are observed.
