Eggers decomposition of polar curves in positive characteristic
Abstract
Let f be a power series in two variables with coefficients in an algebraically closed field of positive characteristic. We identify a necessary and sufficient condition, read from the Eggers-Wall tree of f, for ∂ f∂ y to admit Eggers decomposition.
