Search for KS(L)0 → π+π-μ+μ- decays at LHCb
Abstract
A search for KS(L)0 → π+π-μ+μ- decays is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 13\,TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4\,fb-1. No KS(L)0 → π+π-μ+μ- signals are found and upper limits are set for the first time on the branching fractions B(KS0 → π+π-μ+μ-) < 1.4 × 10-9 and B(KL0 → π+π-μ+μ-) < 6.6 × 10-7, at the 90% confidence level.
