Asymmetry and the Riemann Hypothesis

Abstract

We show that, under a certain rigidity inequality, the Riemann zeta function satisfies (ζ(s),ζ(1-s))≠(0,0) for every s in the critical strip off the critical line. The verification of this rigidity inequality belongs to the realm of number theory and lies beyond the scope of the present paper.
