Products of factorials which are products of factorials
Abstract
In this note, we look at the diophantine equation Πi=1tai!=Πj=1sni!, n1≥ ·s ≥ ns≥ 2 and n1>a1≥ a2≥·s ≥ at≥2. Let s<t. Under the (explicit) abc conjecture, we show that it has only finitely many nontrivial solutions in a certain subset of Nt+s of positive asymptotic density.
