Dark Matter and Strong CP Problem in Type IIA String Theory
Abstract
We present a study of dark matter and the strong CP problem within a globally consistent framework of Type IIA string theory, compactified on a T6/(Z2 × Z2) orientifold with intersecting D6-branes (Model A), for which we provide a complete moduli stabilization and supersymmetry breaking scenario based on the STU model and the KL mechanism. This setup naturally gives rise to a 3-generation MSSM-like spectrum with N=1 supersymmetry. Phenomenologically, the model predicts a multi-component dark matter scenario comprising both axions and neutralino. We also explore how to embed the four-form flux mechanism into Type IIA T6/(Z2 × Z2) orientifold string theory model to address the strong CP problem. We compute the relic abundance of these candidates and explore their observational signatures. In conclusion, our analysis provides a concrete unified, UV-complete framework that successfully addresses two of the most important problems in particle physics and cosmology.
