Next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order QCD corrections to photon-pair production
Abstract
The production of two isolated photons in high-energy hadron collisions poses a challenge to perturbative QCD because of large corrections through next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO). We present novel next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N3LO) predictions and finally demonstrate perturbative convergence for this process. We discuss the considerable computational challenges and phenomenological results for the Large Hadron Collider.
