Arithmetic exceptionality of generalized Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind
Abstract
In this paper, we show that generalized Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind, associated with the root system A2, are not arithmetically exceptional. We achieve this by studying the norms of certain cyclotomic elements that admit a parametrization of finite fields.
