Fully nonlinear oblique transmission problems: Well-posedness
Abstract
We introduce elliptic transmission problems involving fully nonlinear equations in both the interior bulk equations and the interface transmission condition. In contrast to all previous works, our transmission condition depends on both the normal and tangential derivatives of the solution from each side of the interface. Our main result establishes the existence and uniqueness of viscosity solutions for constant-coefficient oblique transmission problems with flat interfaces.
