An organizing principle in the study of the Jacobian Conjecture
Abstract
Let Ω be an irreducible component of the locus of polynomial maps F: Cn Cn satisfying deg F≤ k and detDF=1. It is shown that either Ω⊂ Aut ( Cn), as claimed by the Jacobian Conjecture, or the general F∈ Ω is not an automorphism.
