Abstract
A simple modification to the HLLD-ec scheme is introduced to remove a density oscillation that appears in the Dai-Woodward shock tube problem with a stronger longitudinal magnetic field. The original HLLD-ec scheme was introduced in "On energy consistency of intermediate states in HLL-type MHD Riemann solvers, Journal of Computational Physics, 553 (2026), 114724", and the authors were not aware of this issue.
