Compact, long-range and vacuumless regimes controlled by scalar fields in two-dimensional flat and five-dimensional warped geometries

Abstract

We investigate the presence of compact, long-range, and vacuumless regimes in models described by real scalar fields in 2D flat and 5D warped geometries. In the two-dimensional case, we study in detail several models that support localized solutions. When embedded into a warped AdS5 background, these fields generate distinct kinds of brane profiles.
