Superconductivity in the Kondo lattice: a mean-field approach

Abstract

We calculate the superconducting critical temperature Tc and the Kondo temperature TK of the Kondo lattice, decoupling the Kondo exchange interaction in the unrestricted Hartree-Fock (HF) Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) approximation. We obtain that both TK and Tc have an exponential dependence in the Kondo coupling JK. For optimum doping and realistic parameters, both temperatures fall in the experimentally observed range.
