Some Developments in Light Quark Spectroscopy

Abstract

Among the many unresolved questions in light quark spectroscopy, the underlying structure of the scalar mesons and the identification of states with a gluonic content rank high. Recently, new information has come from φ radiative decays, J/, τ, D and Ds meson decays. Other papers in this conference review radiative transitions of φ and J/. This paper discusses new information on the scalar sector primarily that from decays of D and Ds mesons.
