A Study of the Rare Decays B0 Ds(*)+ π- and B0 Ds(*)- K+

Abstract

We report evidence for the decays B0 Ds+ π- and B0 Ds- K+ and the results of a search for B0 Ds*+ π- and B0 Ds*- K+ in a sample of 84 milion Y(4S) decays into BB pairs collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP II asymmetric-energy e+e- storage ring. We measure the branching fraction Br(B0 Ds+ π-) = 3.2 0.9 ( stat.) 1.0 ( syst.). and Br(B0 Ds+ π-) = 3.2 1.0 ( stat.) 1.0 ( syst.). We also set 90% C.L. limits BR(B0 Ds*+ π-) < 4.1× 10-5 at 90% C.L and BR(B0 Ds*- K+)< 2.5× 10-5 at 90% C.L.
