Branching Fractions of tau Leptons to Three Charged Hadrons
Abstract
From electron-positron collision data collected with the CLEO detector operating at CESR near s=10.6 GeV, improved measurements of the branching fractions for tau decays into three explicitly identified hadrons and a neutrino are presented as B(τ-π-π+π-τ)=(9.130.050.46)%, B(τ- K-π+π-τ)=(3.840.140.38)×10-3, B(τ- K-K+π-τ)=(1.550.060.09)×10-3, and B(τ- K-K+K-τ)<3.7×10-5 at 90% C.L., where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.
