Measurement of the Decay Rate of Xic0 --> pK-K-pi+ Relative to Xic0 --> Xi-pi+
Abstract
Using the CLEOIII detector at CESR, we have measured the branching ratio of the decay Xic0 to pK-K-pi+ relative to Xic0 to Xi- pi+. We find B(Xic0 to pK-K-pi+)/B(Xic0 to Xi-pi+)= 0.35+/-$0.08(stat)+/-0.05(syst). In the resonant substructure of this mode, we find evidence for Xic0 decays to p K*(890)K-, and measure B(Xic0 to p K*(890) K-).B(K*(890) to K-pi+) /B(Xic0 to Xi-pi+)=0.14+/-0.04(stat)+/-0.02(syst) and B(Xic0 to pK-K-pi+)/B(Xic0 to Xi-pi+)=0.21+/-0.05(stat)+/-0.03(syst) for the non-resonant Xic0 decays pK-K-pi+ decays.
