Measurement of the Branching Fraction and the CP-Violating Asymmetry for the Decay B0 --> K0S Pi0

Abstract

We measure the branching fraction and the CP-violating asymmetry of B0 Ks0π0 decays with 227 million (4S) BB events collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at SLAC. We obtain a branching fraction B(B0 K0π0) = (11.4 0.9 0.6) × 10-6 and CP-violating asymmetry parameters CKs0π0 = 0.06 0.18 0.03 and SKs0π0 = 0.35+0.30-0.33 0.04, where the first error is statistical and the second systematic.
