Probing Top-Charm Associated Production at the LHC in the R-parity violating MSSM

Abstract

We present the analytical and numerical investigations of top-charm associated production at the LHC in the framework of the R-parity violating MSSM. The numerical analysis of their production rates is carried out in the mSUGRA scenario with some typical parameter sets. The results show that the cross sections of associated tc(tc) production via gluon-gluon fusion can reach 5% of that via dd annihilation. The total cross section will reach the order of 10 102 ~fb and the cross sections are strongly related to the R-parity violating parameters.
