Testing the Structure of the Scalar Meson K0*(1430) in τ K0*(1430) Decay

Abstract

The decay constant of K0*(1430) is the key quantity to determine the production rate of K0*(1430) in τ decays. By assuming K0*(1430) is the lowest scalar bound state of sq, the decay constant can be calculated reliably in QCD sum rule. Then the decay branching ratio of τ K0*(1430) is predicted to be about (7.9 3.1)× 10-5. If this branching ratio can be measured by experiment, it should be helpful to make clear the structure of K0*(1430).
