On the Unmixed 17 keV Neutrino
Abstract
Recently, it was suggested that the 17 keV neutrino does not mix with the electron neutrino in the weak interactions. Instead, the β decay mode involving the 17 keV neutrino is induced by a completely new interaction, presumably mediated by leptoquarks. A previous model for the ``unmixed 17 keV neutrino" suffers from difficulties with experimental data and cosmological constraints. Here we present an alternative model in which these difficulties are resolved.
