The heavy top quark and right-handed currents

Abstract

We consider a modification of the standard electroweak model with the third quark generation and the τ-lepton in vector representations of SU(2) U(1)Y electroweak symmetry. This is a new way to implement right-handed currents which are controlled by the usual Fermi constant, GF, the weak mixing angle, θW, and also by the right-handed mixing matrices which survive when the Lagrangian density is written in terms of the mass eigenstates. In this case there are also new CP violation phases.
