eta and eta' hadronic decays in UL(3)xUR(3) Chiral Perturbation Theory
Abstract
The decays eta/eta' -> pi pi pi and eta' -> eta pi pi are studied up to leading and next-to-leading order within the framework of UL(3)xUR(3) Chiral Perturbation Theory. The analysis incorporates important features of the eta-eta' system, such as the contribution of the glueball alphaG\~G due to the axial anomaly and eta0/eta8 mixing. One-loop corrections, which are third-order contributions according to the combined chiral and 1/Nc expansion, are not included. Reasonably good results are obtained in most cases.
