QCD Calculations of Pion Electromagnetic and Transition Form Factors
Abstract
A short review is given of calculations of the pion electromagnetic and transition form factors within the framework of quantum chromodynamics. It is argued that both the perturbative and nonperturbative aspects of the Q2 dependence of these form factors are rather well understood in QCD. However, new experimental data at higher Q2 would be extremely helpful for detailed tests of the transition to the regime where the pQCD hard contribution plays the dominant role.
