On the stability of Quantum Hadro-Dynamics

Abstract

We explore the possible occurrence of σ-ω condensation in the Quantum Hadro-Dynamics (QHD), namely the Serot and Walecka model, finding that at the mean field level it corresponds to a critical value of the coupling constant gσ=8.828 and density kF=207.2 MeV/c, significantly below the standard value of QHD.
