Finite-time blow-up for the forced 2D Navier-Stokes equations
Filippo Gazzola
Abstract
We provide explicit examples showing that the existing assumptions in literature on the force are sharp for the stated properties of strong solutions to the 2D Navier-Stokes equations. If they fail to be satisfied, finite time blow-up may occur in different forms.
