Abstract
In this work, the mass and decay properties for low-lying orbital excitations of Ωc baryons are investigated within the chiral quark model combined with the 3P0 decay mechanism. Following the LHCb Collaboration's observations, we extend our previous study of the Ξc system to the Ωc system, with all model parameters inherited from our earlier work. Our results consistently describe the observed Ωc spectrum: Ωc(3000), Ωc(3050), Ωc(3065), and Ωc(3090) are well described as λ-mode 1P states with JP=1/2-, 3/2-, 3/2-, and 5/2-, respectively. Ωc(3119) cannot be described as a pure three-quark excitation. Furthermore, the Ωc(3185) and Ωc(3327) may be assigned to the 2S and 1D states, respectively. These results offer a coherent picture of the low-lying Ωc spectrum and motivate further experimental tests.
